Biography David Gee

Cellist David Gee has performed as soloist, chamber musician and orchestral cellist in America, Europe and Africa. His concerts have been broadcast by national radio stations in Europe and America. While living in Granada, Spain, Mr. Gee performed as Assistant Principal cellist of the Orchestra of Granada while touring extensively with The Boccherini Quartet.

Mr. Gee's teaching activities include master class instruction throughout AndalucĂ­a, Spain, undergraduate private cello tutelage at Yale University, and private and class instruction at The University of North Carolina, Coastal Carolina University, the University of Memphis and Augusta State University.

Mr. Gee received his instruction from Aldo Parisot, and the Catalan-American cellist Luis Garcia-Renart, a pupil of Pau Casals. While at Yale he received chamber music instruction from the Tokyo Quartet. Mr. Gee graduated Summa cum Laude from Purchase College where he received The President’s Award for outstanding achievement. While pursuing a graduate degree at Yale, Mr. Gee was named an Ellen Battel Stoeckel scholar.
